Carla Knopp is a Hybrid Media Artist working in AR, Video, and the Metaverse
Carla began working in digital media in 2014, following 30 years as a studio painter. In both her painting and digital work she embraces allegory to reveal new meaning. Although her themes arise obscurely from the making process, some concepts recur over the years, and across mediums.
Carla is fascinated by clans and the paradox of intimacy - how kinship bonds harbor both comfort and constraint. She follows an exploratory art practice, trusting artistic inquiry to reveal broader insights and understanding.
She seeks revelation through personal artistic discovery.
